Microsoft has announced its latest touch-capable mouse. The Explorer Mouse is shaped like Apple’s Magic Mouse, but its functionality is very much like Microsoft’s Arc mouse. It features a touch strip located at the mouse’s front-center that allows vertical and horizontal scrolling, five customizable buttons, BlueTrack technology that lets you use the mouse on any surface, and a tiny slot on its underside to store a nano transceiver when the mouse is not attached into the computer. The mouse has a battery life of up to 18 months.
The Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse is expected to see the light of retail this September, costing $49.95. The device will come in four colors: Black, Gray, Rust Red, and “Sangria Red.”
